KIPBITSIn the next few weeks you will be receiving your membership renewal for April. Included in that mailing are two raffle books for the Grand 50/50 Raffle at our 7th Annual Kip Center Golf Outing. Your support of our fundraising efforts has enabled us to keep 2001 prices for this year; $5 for Rutherford residents and $12 for non-residents. Please share the opportunity to win our raffle with family and friends. Additional books are available. Some program notes....We suggest you call ahead on Tuesday's around 1 to see if students will be on hand for the Computer Club. It's not too late to sign up for the trip to Cape May, Apr. 3. AARP 55 Alive Course will be held on Apr. 2nd & 5th. In order to accommodate our members requests we are adjusting our schedule one more time- Current Events will begin on Tuesday at 10:30 in order to allow for the Kip Thrift Shop to be open from 9:30-10:30. Current Events will begin at 10:00a.m. on Thursday. Due to increased attendance at the center, we have been given permission by the Borough to park on the east side flat section of the roof- as well as the area marked Kip Center permit parkers. DONOR NEWSTime and time again we are the recipients of the efforts of local groups and organizations. Thanks to UNICO for the delicious meal they prepared and served to Kip Center members. Joining them that day were the Brownies from Troop 550. They provided the desserts and served them to a most grateful audience. You've won our hearts ( and our stomachs) and our sincere appreciation and gratitude. Busy Hands, Pierrepont School students, Brownie Troop 1099 & APV Communications also won our hearts for Valentine's Day. We were showered with hearts, mugs, candy and loving messages from all these sweethearts. Heartfelt thanks to the Rutherford Community Chest for their donation in support of our Bridgebuilder Program. Their dollars help us to reach out to those in the community most in need. We value their commitment. Thanks to Mario from NJ Buddies & Don Falken and his neighbor for their donation of goodies for our Saturday program.
