Kip Kourrier Summer Edition

Dear Friends and Families,

HAPPY SUMMER!  This is a very busy and fun time at 55 Kip Center!  We are combining July with August Kourriers this year and will return in September better than ever! It’s been a great summer at 55 Kip so far!  The monthly art shows are well received. Our updated computers are useful. Fitness classes are keeping our members active. Fitness Day was a great day!  Photos/videos can be seen on Facebook at “55 Kip Center”. Special thanks to Kearny Bank for sponsoring again this year! Unfortunately, we will be suspending our Wednesday lunch program until further notice.  More details will follow in Fall.

55 Kip is a special place and we are very grateful to our Sponsors, Donors and Volunteers.  As a non-profit 501(c) 3 organization, we must raise a substantial portion of our yearly operating budget through Foundation Grants, Corporate Giving, Fundraisers and Private Donations. No gift is too small.  We appreciate donations and sponsorships. Enjoy your summer! I’m looking forward to autumn at 55 Kip Center!

Best, Dana Monaghan

Whether you are coming in for classes, clubs, lunch or socializing. The Kip Center is the place to be to keep cool. Relax in the air conditioned building and enjoy hot coffee or cold lemonade. We will be open through August 17th. During the weeks of August 19th and 26th  the Center will be closed for cleaning, maintenance and repairs. We will be ready to welcome you on Tuesday, September 3rd. for the start of our 16 week Fall Session.

Our Annual Strawberry Tea, which has become an anticipated tradition to kick-off summer at Kip Center, was held on June 28th. There were over 125 beautiful baskets that were prepared for the raffle by our chairwomen Patty Hansen with assistance from a wonderful team of wrappers. Patty worked on this event for many months and we truly appreciate her dedication and hard work. The members, groups and classes sent in numerous beautiful and generous donations to fill the baskets, and the diligent volunteers cleared the rooms, set up tables, and assembled ticket packages. A special thank you to all participants. Thank you to John from Mill’s bakery for your ongoing support of 55 Kip Center. Your generous contribution helped make our Strawberry Tea a Sweet Success!
