75 Healthy Grab and Go Bags were delivered by volunteers or picked up at 55 Kip Center yesterday. Bags were filled with yogurt, pancakes, fresh fruit, milk, cheese, cereal and more. Every week the bag also has a flyer with upcoming events or information. The Grab and Go Bags are partially funded through a generous grant by Bergen County Division of Senior Services.

Wear Red and Valentines Day - Our community gathers and wears red in order to promote awareness of heart disease, especially in women. 
Annual Teddy Bear Tea - Members dress teddy bears  many making homemade outfits  to be distributed to local children in the community.
assau County Firefighters - members have been knitting blankets for our wounded service members for over 10 years. Every 
year, over 150 blankets are sent to hospitals in Washington D.C.

Donations to Rutherford Food Pantry - Our volunteers help collect and deliver donations for the pantry.

Kip Center's 7th Annual Beefsteak- Beefsteak dinner with comedian Jeff Norris. Included raffle prizes and gifts not to mention a Mardi Gras theme! 
 Informational Programs/ Complimentary Classes 

Act Now Foundation- Cary Lopez conducted several memory screenings here at the center while also spreading awareness about the importance of early detection of dementia.

Rutherford Police Department and the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office presents Self Defense Class with Detective Al Anderson to put focus on physical and mental awareness related to self defense.

Creative Kip Members and Friends made Spring Door and Patriotic Wreaths in a class thought by Kathy O'Boyle and funded by Bergen County Community Development Block Grant promoting mental and physical well-being of older adults. 

Tiny Sprouts Early Childhood Center spent the morning with our Creative Writing class reading stories and coloring pictures. Intergenerational collaborations like this brings a sense of purpose and joy to all involved.

Technology Classes series include quick, easy, and fun discussion and presentation designed for beginner to immediate users with provided computer tablets for hands-on learning.  

Rutherford Police Department in conjunction with Bergen County Consumer Affairs to spread awareness about fraud, scams and exploitation so our members can have a fresh, safer perspective.
